    Automotive Service Advisor

MotorCar Doctors – Beaverton, OR Monday–Friday | No Weekends

MotorCar Doctors is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

We are a well-established, independent auto repair shop serving the Beaverton area since 1995. We are not trying to be a dealership, a chain store, or a high-pressure sales floor. We are a professional repair shop built around clear communication, quality repairs, strong customer relationships, and a team that actually works together.

We are looking for someone who has service advisor experience, enjoys helping customers, communicates well on the phone, and can keep a busy shop day organized without making it weird. Cars break. Customers worry. Phones ring. Technicians need answers. The right person can keep all of that moving calmly and professionally.

    What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main connection between our customers and our technicians. Your job is to help customers understand what their vehicle needs, keep them informed, and make sure the repair process runs smoothly.

    Responsibilities include:

Answering phones and helping customers schedule appointments

Greeting customers and building trust from the first conversation

    Writing repair orders accurately

Communicating customer concerns clearly to technicians

Reviewing digital vehicle inspections, photos, notes, and recommendations

Explaining inspection results and repair recommendations to customers

Preparing estimates and getting customer authorizations

Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process

Coordinating with technicians and the shop team to keep work flowing

Helping maintain a professional, organized front counter

Following up with customers and helping create long-term relationships

    What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and good with people. Automotive experience matters, but attitude and communication matter just as much.

    A good fit would have:

Previous automotive service advisor experience preferred

Strong phone and customer communication skills

Basic automotive knowledge and the ability to explain repairs clearly

Good computer skills and comfort using shop software

Ability to stay organized in a busy environment

    Professional appearance and attitude

    Strong follow-through

    A team-first mindset

Ability to build trust without high-pressure sales tactics

    Why Work With Us?

MotorCar Doctors has been part of the Beaverton community for decades. We are a small, established shop with modern systems, digital inspections, and a team that cares about doing the job right.

    We offer:

    Monday–Friday schedule

    No weekends

Established local shop with a strong customer base

    Modern digital inspection process

    Professional work environment

    Supportive team atmosphere

Opportunity to grow with the company

Additional advisor coverage so one person is not carrying the whole front counter alone

For the right long-term person, there may be future growth opportunities, including possible equity or ownership path

    Pay

    Competitive pay based on experience.

Suggested CareerPlug line: Compensation will depend on experience, performance, and fit for the role.

    Schedule

    Monday through Friday. No weekends.
