JOB DESCRIPTION:
Asan embedded system test engineer you will execute tests on autonomous_ID prototypes and wearable devices. You will be working with a team of experienced embedded systems hardware & firmware engineers and interact with a variety of other design teams to carry out your work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop configuration & Testing tools/methods for AID hardware sensors
· Clarify and document test requirements
• Responsible for system level RF DVT execution from initial chip bring up through to mass production
• Testing a variety of physical system level parameters such as EVM, sensitivity, current consumption, emissions, diversity, pre-regulatory and more
• Execute tests using in-house software (on Linux & Windows)
• Ownership for the test station including calibration, configuration, and debug.
• Monitor test progress
• Debug test issues and station issues
• Generate test reports
• Analyze reports for failures, performance degradation, and other anomalies
• File detailed bug reports
• Work with design teams to troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve product issues
• Prototype design and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-10 years’ experience wireless design or testing experience.
• Familiar with wireless communication system level transmit and receive parameters like evm and sensitivity.
• Comfortable in a lab setting and familiar with the operation of signal/spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and other RF and generic lab equipment.
· Experience with signal data processing using Matlab
· Experience with TI Simplelink SDK development environment and/or Cypress PSoC Creator SDK
• It is expected that this person will be able to understand higher level plans and execute to achieve them while working independently and clearly documenting the work completed.
• Experience writing test software with a text-based programming language (preferably Java, Python) to control general test equipment (Power meters, switches, attenuators), one-box-testers (ex. litepoint or CMU's), or Wi-Fi radios is a plus
· Electrical and mechanical HW knowledge
· Understanding of Schematics & wiring diagram
· Good understanding of PCB design & assembly process
· Experience with mixed-signal circuit design (Analog & Digital) & troubleshooting
• Automated data collection, data analysis and interpretation
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Technical writing experience.
