    Job Description

    AUTONOMOUS MEDICAL DEVICES INCORPORATED (AMDI) is a fast-paced medical diagnostics company working on cutting-edge, point-of-care testing modalities. The IT Support Specialist will be based at the newly refurbished 110,000 square foot corporate offices and manufacturing facility based in Santa Ana, CA (fully opening in Summer 2022). Until then, the employee will be based at one of our temporary satellite offices in the local Orange County area.

    SUMMARY OF POSITION

    The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to team members. The individual will interact with team members by phone, in-person, email, and by messages, to resolve their computer problems related to software and hardware issues to help team members get back up and running smoothly.

    Will provide technical assistance and support relating to team member technology issues including laptops, desktops, phones, A/V equipment, copiers, and printers. This position will work closely with AMDI IT Vendor to support the overall organization’s Information Technology structure and support.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support AMDI teammates with technical problems on workspace related technologies
    • Be onsite and respond to service tickets and requests through other forms of communications (i.e., email, phone, & messages) in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
    • Documents actions and resolutions within the helpdesk ticketing system
    • Follows up with end-users to ensure issues have been completely resolved.
    • Install, maintain, and configure computer hardware, VOIP phones, printers, and scanners
    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Ensure security is effetely maintained in the network and computers.
    • Maintain inventory and track IT equipment and software
    • Assisting with connecting equipment to the network
    • Propose and enter IT equipment/software requisitions and purchases.
    • Assist and undertake projects and tasks as the need arise.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with providing support to end-users
    • Advance knowledge in computer software systems, networks, databases, MS Office applications, and Windows operating systems.
    • Experience with computer hardware configurations and software installations
    • A+ certification or equivalent (preferred)
    • Experience with Windows administration experience
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of help desk software and remote-access systems.
    • High level of interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Ability to provide a professional, friendly, and patient demeanor to deliver excellent customer service to team members and vendors
    • Flexible approach to problems and with people
    • Able to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
    • Able to work under pressure when servers or systems are not functioning properly
    • Proactive and passionate about technology and solving problems.
    • Well organized and attentive to detail.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work requires to be indoors working at a computer station for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying items in a Manufacturing environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb.

    Company Description

    AMDI’s mission is to develop point of care and data distribution technologies that enable delivery of autonomous, personalized health information to patients and doctors at scale. The first product to be produced will provide a qualitative serological profile of data that can be analyzed and used to assess the person’s immunological response to COVID-19.
