    Job Description

    AUTONOMOUS MEDICAL DEVICES INCORPORATED (AMDI) is a fast-paced medical diagnostics company working on cutting-edge, point-of-care testing modalities. The (Senior) Human Resources Generalist/Systems Specialist will be based at the newly refurbished 110,000 square foot corporate offices and manufacturing facility (fully opening in Summer 2022). Until then, the employee will be based at one of our temporary satellite offices in Orange County.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    AMDI is looking for an experienced, pragmatic, and hands-on HR Generalist and systems expert, with deep subject matter and technical knowledge, and effective communication and interpersonal skills to enable them to successfully manage a broad spectrum of day-to-day hands-on general HR functions to include HR/ATS (Taleo) systems administration and implementation, recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, performance management, onboarding, safety, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the VP, Human Resources, the generalist provides support and administers the company’s HR policies, programs, and practices on-site at the a temporary location in Irvine (i.e. Manufacturing Plant). The HR Generalist is responsible for maintaining confidentiality in business and HR operations.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    • Partner with all levels of employee within the organization to proactively support the delivery of HR processes and initiatives
    • Build a strong, trusted business relationship with the leaders and managers of the business groups
    • General HR Duties: Conduct research and analyzes data on assigned projects; Assist in the formulation of compensation objectives, manpower goals, performance management; Contribute to policy development, design, and training; Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change)
    • HRIS/Systems Admin: Serve as the Taleo Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Administrator and manage candidate flow; Implement ATS system; Work with stakeholders to develop/maintain/run standard, compliance, and custom reports; Provide internal training for new users; Perform analyses and develop solutions that solve business problems/opportunities; Data entry
    • Talent Management: Write position descriptions, run ads, conduct sourcing, participate in networking events (job fairs, college, and university level mentor programs, etc); Screen resumes and applications, work with hiring managers, schedule and conduct interviews, extend job offers, run background checks, conduct onboarding duties including new hire orientation; Utilize company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in accordance with procedures
    • DEI: Supports company’s diversity initiatives and may maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements
    • Payroll: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to review payroll data each pay period, ensuring changes have been implemented (new hire, term, salary change, position change, etc.) in a timely manner; Answer employee payroll-related questions and concerns; Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure each payroll is run successfully and required records are maintained (timecards, check registers, etc.) according to federal and state regulations
    • Benefit Administration: Participate as part of the HR team in the annual benefits renewal process; Assist in creating benefit marketing materials as needed; Conduct Open Enrollment Meetings as needed; Ensure Open Enrollment and benefits changes throughout the year are conducted and implemented in a timely fashion; Assist employees with their benefits questions
    • Employee Relations: In conjunction with the VP of HR, provide ER support to the employees and management team
    • Safety: Participate as a member of the Safety Committee and act as on-site contact for Worker’s Compensation claims and program
    • Other: Create new HR forms, documents and help create new HR processes; Collaborate with other team members and assist with coordinating company-wide events and programs

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist functions, with at least 3 years of HRIS/Systems Specialist or Administration experience required
    • Proven experience in core areas of HR such as talent management (sourcing, recruitment), HRIS, benefits administration, form creation, performance management, and corporate compliance
    • Current HR Certification preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Microsoft Teams
    • Significant experience with Taleo ATS, NetSuite, SuitePeople highly preferred (or other HRIS/Payroll systems)
    • Significant experience with ATS/HRIS implementations as well as day-to-day management of the system(s)
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet keeping the management team up to date
    • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality
    • Must possess strong attention to detail
    • Stay informed on and maintain compliance on existing and proposed federal / state / agency laws and regulations affecting Human Resources and/or business operations
    • Ability to travel 10%
