Construction Project Manager Owner's Representative EWR
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER CONSTRUCTION - OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE
Program Overview
If you have a passion for airports and want to know what makes them tick...we want to talk with you.
You may not know us but we've been quietly helping clients in the commercial aviation business for 30 years. AvAirPros is a privately-held, employee-owned consulting and services firm and we have an interesting, exciting, challenging entry-level opportunity to join our team working on the $160M United Airlines Terminal Redevelopment Program at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). To meet United’s strategic goals, the Newark Hub needs to grow to be able to accommodate a greater number of passengers on increasingly larger aircraft. Aging infrastructure and severely limited swing spaces are key challenges facing the EWR station and United’s customers.
What you'll be doing:
As the Assistant Project Manager, you'll join a team of other AvAirPros professionals who serve as the owner's representative on the renovation and new construction program for Terminal C. The goal of the project is to develop the EWR Hub to meet strategic objectives with a minimum of disruption to airline and airport operations. Be part of crafting a solution that's fiscally responsible, environmentally sensible, and builds on recently completed investments in Terminal C. In addition, help United achieve its goals of providing an enhanced customer experience and reinforces United’s commitment to improve the environment for the airline's frontline employees.
In this role you'll operate with significant independence and minimal supervision but have plenty of exposure to senior management to review progress and address issues. You can expect to work in office settings, on construction sites, and throughout bustling terminals...please and thank you.
Speaking of please...please be good at:
Monitoring capital and operating program progress while providing regular project feedback to ensure any potential setbacks are minimized through proper communication internally
Coordinating multiple projects, programs, and client representatives making sure progress is made on the capital program
Managing special studies, initiatives, or due diligence assignments
Preparing memos, reports, briefings, proposals and other client deliverables that may include spreadsheets, complex graphs, charts and tables
