Based in the corporate office of AvAirPros, the Staff Accountant will join a financial team that provides bookkeeping, accounting, tax and financial analysis related to the professional staff and client assignments of a professional services firm that works exclusively in the aviation industry. Financial administration requires expertise, diligence and attention to detail. The position will work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, corporate management, employees, and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

Corporate Accounting

o Sage Accounting Software (Peachtree)

Tax

o Federal and state income taxes

Client Assignments

o Client invoice preparation

o Client accounting assignments

Personnel Matters

o Labor costs and reporting

o Employee 401(k) loans

o Workers’ compensation rates, benefits & audits

o Employee expense reporting

Employee Payroll

o Payroll principles and process

Other areas as assigned

Skills and Experience

1-3 years of accounting experience

Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures

Proficiency with accounting software

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills

Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking, with strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Positive customer service-oriented attitude
