Position Overview
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a privately held company and work closely with senior leadership to help evolve the Company’s brand image. The Graphic Designer / Presentation Specialist will support all written and visual communication. The successful candidate will be passionate about design and have an aptitude for taking information, including complex concepts and data, and making it memorable and easy to understand. The position will guide the Company’s branding and styling across all media and platforms and will work closely on projects for all offices and all departments nationwide.
Projects will include print and digital publishing, social media, website, collateral materials, live event elements for meetings, conferences, forums, recruiting events, and summits, promotional materials, presentations, white papers, infographics, photography and the maintenance of a photo library, and video production/editing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with colleagues to craft visual communication strategies that advance the Company’s reputation, visibility, and presence nationwide
Design and produce collateral to support the Company’s communications and product lines
Skilled at translating business objectives into well designed visual presentations and communication assets
Present new ideas for expanding the Company’s messaging in a compelling, visual manner
Understand the technical aspects of presentation development, including constructing templates, use of multiple masters, color themes, animations, diagramming, working with a wide variety of file formats
Support requests from third-parties for design projects by packaging logos, font, and other art as necessary; monitor external products for brand consistency; manipulate supplied artwork to create resources for internal use
Passion for creating infographics and/or data graphics
Source printing partners and other vendors; monitor projects through all phases of production, adhere to budgets and schedules
Have a sharp eye for editing and other details to ensure graphic designs are first-rate
Support nationwide offices in the development and/or refinement of client proposals, submittals, presentations, and other communication
Manage projects with both internal staff and external vendors communicating deadlines and issues and identifying solutions to ensure deadlines are met and goals achieved
Maintain a master calendar for graphic design/production projects for reporting status on a monthly basis
Maintain an organized electronic filing system for all communication assets
Develop a Company Style Guide and manage and maintain corporate marketing materials
Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience
Self-starter who thinks critically, strategically, and creatively
Strong project management skills
Solid understanding of social media and digital communications
Expertise with software including creative design programs including Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or similar programs, Microsoft Office as well as Keynote for presentations
Strong design skills, including layout and typography
Understanding of the printing process, photography and illustration
Flexible and able to incorporate feedback while offering constructive advice on design choices that may better reflect the Company’s goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copywriting and editing a plus
Strong attention to detail
Ability to build relationships and work productively in a team effort
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and always willing to go the extra mile
Qualifications
BA in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Communication or related field
