    Position Overview

    This position will join our Atlanta office working with members of our Airlines Liaison Team (ALT) on the $6.2B Capital Improvement Program at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This will involve monitoring, facilitating and executive level reporting and communication on a myriad of projects ranging from terminal modernization, to airfield paving, to parking garages and most things in between. As a Project Manager you will also provide support on other ongoing projects in the office: for example: Airlines for America, the American trade association and lobbying group that represents the largest airlines, researching the issue of changes to the Passenger Facility Charge.

    The ALT Project Manager will interact with clients, stakeholders and other AvAirPros employees to ensure we deliver high-quality personal interactions and written documentation required for project(s). The Airlines and the City of Atlanta Department of Aviation rely on our work product to ensure that project scope, schedule and budget are closely monitored, reported, and coordinated. As coordinated and assigned by the ALT Director, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Collaboratively work with owner’s Project Managers and other stakeholders to confirm project(s) are within scope, schedule and budget

    Ensure accuracy and integrity of scope, schedule and budget information, including consultation on proposed changes and ensuring proper management of contracts, change orders, purchase orders and invoices

    Observe and monitor project construction progress, reporting on progress as well as issues/concerns that may impact project scope, schedule or budget

    Perform field visits, inspections and reviews during work performance hours (at times overnight)

    Interfacing with airline personnel, AATC and other stakeholders on operational impacts, including representing airlines’ issues and advising airlines of upcoming construction activities

    Suggest strategies and methods of achieving project goals to the project team as appropriate, including alternatives development, evaluation and recommendation

    Participate in regularly scheduled coordination, reporting and strategy meetings, multiple times per week

    Assist the ALT Director in generating, publishing, coordinating and maintaining executive-level summaries, charts, reports, and other data as required; based on recommendations and specifications of owner and/or impacted parties

    Working collaboratively with financial staff, verify that scope and funding are coordinated and linked, and that any movement of scope or funding is properly tracked within the project and that projects are completed in accordance with approved project costs and plan of finance

    Ensure timely and clear flow of information between stakeholders

    Plan, commence, execute, supervise, and follow through on assigned tasks, as well as have initiative to generate own work flows, action lists and General office support as needed

    Assume other coordination responsibilities as determined by the ALT Director

    Skills and Experience

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in the management and/or implementation of medium to large, complex projects

    Experience working with the airline industry preferred

    Understanding of all phases of construction project implementation

    Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    Excellent oral and written skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Ability to be self-directed, self-motivating, and self-disciplined

    Ability to work independently

    Skilled at building relationships and working collaboratively

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Qualifications

    BA in Architecture; Building Construction, Civil Engineering also relevant. Project Management certified preferred
