AvAirPros is a privately-held, employee-owned consulting and services firm and we have an interesting, exciting, and challenging position available. You're the ideal candidate if you've spent time working at a commercial airline in Corporate Real Estate or Airport Affairs.
We're adding a senior level team member to join our Airline Liaison group in our Los Angeles (LAX) office. The position is highly visible both internally and externally with our clients and plays a vital role supporting a broad range of business, financial, technical and operational issues. Critical to success in the role is a rigorous, skillful focus on analysis and the ability to effectively communicate that information to our airline clients.
At this level you're expected to possess an expert understanding of the aviation business and be aware and remain current regarding industry trends, to distill a broad range of information into meaningful, accurate presentable material, and to clearly communicate the implications of quantitative and qualitative analysis to the AAAC and airport.
Duties and Responsibilities
You'll work closely with the Airline Rates and Charges Liaison (ARL) and Airline Liaison Office (ALO) to provide overall support in the following areas:
Providing objective and quantifiable financial information, analysis, and recommendations for use by the AAAC in understanding the financial implications of operating expense budgets, capital improvement projects, plan of finance, and other business issues as required
Ensuring distribution of information related to the development, monitoring and reconciliation of the CIP, including scope, timing, financing and funding plans
Developing and maintaining relationships with key constituents to grow and develop AAAC understanding and influence of financial, technical, and airline affairs matters
Coordinating the AAAC review of material policy matters that impact airline operations, rates and charges or agreement terms
Soliciting input and making recommendations to the Chair for meeting agenda items, prepare meeting agendas, distribute related meeting material
Advising the Chair and developing an action plan for issues requiring a AAAC response
Advising the Chair on substantive obstacles when they occur and making recommendations for corrective action; monitoring and reporting deliverables relative to established action plans.
Coordinating and facilitating AAAC meetings
In certain circumstances, managing special studies, initiatives, or due diligence assignments
Preparing memos, reports, briefings, proposals and other client deliverables that may include spreadsheets, complex graphs, charts and tables
Skills and Experience
8+ years of experience as an analyst
BA/BS in Business, Finance or related field
Experience in aviation, ideally with a commercial airline.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written skills
Fanatical attention to detail
Ability to build relationships
Strength in public speaking, delivering information in small/large groups
Ability to work closely with others in a team effort
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred
