    Position Overview

    You may not know us but we've been quietly helping clients in the commercial aviation business for 30 years. AvAirPros is a privately-held, employee-owned consulting and services firm and we have an interesting, exciting, and challenging position working serving as the liaison between the City of Atlanta's Department of Aviation project team, Airport/Airline’s Consortium and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's (ATL) Signatory Airlines.

    To be successful in this role you'll need aviation facility architecture experience and an understanding of innovative technology to assist with the development of sustainable projects. You will be responsible for a full range of activities that will facilitate the efficient and effective design, construction and operation of the world’s busiest airport. You can expect to work in office settings, on construction sites, and throughout bustling terminals. Experience working in commercial aviation required...please and thank you..

    Speaking of please...please be good at:

    Acting as the liaison between multiple stakeholders including Airport, Airlines, and Airport/Airline Consortium

    Understanding and driving design decisions to manage and control life cycle costs at the same time balancing appealing aesthetics

    Reviewing project drawings, integrating life cycle design criteria, coordinating the analysis of ongoing maintenance/operating costs, and making alternate material selection recommendations, as required

    Managing multiple deadlines at the same time including reviewing/monitoring the design elements of multiple projects

    Reviewing project specific construction specifications and drawings at all phases of a project

    AutoCAD and Revit to review construction documents and provide comments

    Researching discipline-related life safety and code analysis/issues

    Adding value to construction site meetings, reviewing related RFI's, and preparing reports as required

    What you've done so far:

    5+ years working in an Architectural practice with experience in all phases and aspects of a project: schematics, design development, construction documentation

    Mastered the art of building happy and productive working relationship with clients

    Worked collaboratively with clients, contractors, architects and other industry professionals

    Displayed a proficiency in material selection, visualization, and life cycle design

    Developed impressive written and oral communication skills

    Mastered a client service mentality

    Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

    Lead and motivated successful teams

    How you built the foundation:

    BA in Architecture or related field

    NCARB registration is a plus

    Proficiency in material selection, visualization and life cycle designs

    LEED accreditation; knowledge of sustainable/green strategies

    Knowledge of code (IBC, ADA, NFPA); local ATL code knowledge would be a bonus

    Proficiency in project scheduling software is appreciated
