CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE
You may not know us but we've been quietly helping clients in the commercial aviation business for 30 years. AvAirPros is a privately-held, employee-owned consulting and services firm and we have an interesting, exciting, and challenging position serving as an Owner's Representative through all phases of planning, programming, design, and construction for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Hawaii State Airport System.
What you'll work on:
As the Construction PM/Owner's Representative you'll coordinate with the various stakeholders including Airport Authorities, Engineering Representatives, Construction Project Teams and Airline Representatives to assist with program implementation. You will monitor the CIP Program and provide ongoing status updates to the Airline group and review the CIP Program for future projects. You must have the know how and experience to check design drawings and specifications, manage and run meetings, propose value engineering solutions that reduce project costs, and build and maintain a positive working relationship with clients. You can expect to work in office settings, on construction sites, and throughout bustling terminals. Experience working in commercial aviation is a big plus...please and thank you.

Communicating and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders including Airport and Engineering Representatives and Construction Project Teams
Facilitating effective project implementation while considering the needs of the Airline, the Airport and the Project teams.
Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and establish common ground
Participate in the planning, programming, design development and the construction document process by providing review, comment and input on how the evolving design meets the proposed project goals, scope, schedule and budget
Reviewing project related submittals: drawings, criteria, reports, specifications
Skillfully coordinating Airline participation in the review and approval of the design and project implementation process
Assist in developing of technical and analytical studies, reports, and documentation
Developing design alternatives
Leading productive meetings with Airport Reps, Airline Reps, Engineering Reps, Project Teams, and other Airport Agencies
Establishing and overseeing Airline subcommittees and work groups to address various issues which arise during project implementation
Monitor progress and provide status updates to the Airline group on the progress of the CIP Program
Wearing many hats; you'll be involved in planning, design development and construction of: Airport Terminal and Support Facilities, Airline Operational Facilities and Systems, Baggage Handling Systems, Airfield and Apron pavement work, Building and Communication Special Systems, Aircraft Support Systems and other Specialty Systems

7+ years managing medium to large, complex aviation construction projects
Become an industry expert in all phases of construction project implementation
Mastered the art of building and maintaining productive work relationships
Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Developed impressive written and verbal skills
Provided inspiring leadership that contributed to a project's success
Worked collaboratively with clients, contractors, architects and other industry professionals
How you build the foundation:
BS in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture or related field is a must have
Commercial aviation experience preferred
