    Every day, millions of people are excluded from conversations because they cannot hear what others say well. Our CEO Thibault grew up in a Deaf family & witnessed firsthand how the world was not accessible for them. Together with our CTO Skinner — deaf since age 2 — Thibault co-founded Ava to make live captioning of conversations as easy as turning on captions on TV.

    Our small but fast-growing team has reinvented AI-based speech recognition technology to be in service of people who need it the most. We dream of a 24/7 accessible world, without any communication barrier.

    So... what will you do as a B2B Builder at Ava?

    • Develop new B2B customer relationships by engaging inbound and outbound prospects and conveying Ava's value proposition.
    • Schedule qualified leads for demos with an Account Executive, making sure the right information has been extracted and that they are excited.
    • Collaborate with the CS team to make sure you are capturing all the high potential B2B leads.
    • Partner with the Account Executives to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound prospects, diligently documenting and tracking communication in our CRM.
    • Be the thoughtful voice of our business clients — organize their feedback to help develop a product that answers their needs.
    • Investigate and recommend changes that will impact the lead to demo conversion rate. Share best practices with colleagues.

    Qualifications You'd be perfect for this role if:

    • You have 6-12 months of experience in business development, sales development, or both in a SaaS start-up.
    • Hunting and cold outreach are your jam, whether that means sending an email, picking up the phone, or popping into the prospect's office.
    • You are a relationship-building master, you're curious and know how to draw information out of people in a very genuine and natural way.
    • Your creative messaging and out-of-the-box approach compels prospects to express interest and engage in conversation.
    • You are tenacious and coachable, willing to continue trying from different angles to make sure you reach your desired result!
    • You are characterized by your friends and colleagues as a hustler. You thrive in ambiguity and do things that might feel uncomfortable.
    • You are really well organized and have no trouble juggling many projects at once. You have experience with working many leads in parallel, the more the merrier.
    • You're patient, warm, and well mannered. Kindness is key.
    • ✨ Bonus: You know or are familiar with (even just the basics of) American Sign Language and would be enthusiastic to learn it to help customers
