Position Description:
AVA's Security Engineer will analyze the security of the AVA protocol, and develop solutions to address any vulnerabilities found in its systems, architectures, and code.

We are looking for an individual who not only aims to identify vulnerabilities, but also wants to help shape and design the development of the protocol.
Responsibilities:
- Identify vulnerabilities where they exist and influence our system's design to prevent them from occurring
- Be a key member of the development team designing and building the protocol architecture
- Help grow and mature the security engineering team
- Proactively develop security guidance and practices for future implementations across the engineering team
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering for fintech, blockchain, or cryptocurrency projects
- Can work effectively in Go, Python, sh/bash, Java, C/C++
- Competent with software architecture, designing scalable abstractions for high- and low-level components
- Effective at debugging, including external dependencies down to low-level toolchains
- Critical and analytical approach to evaluating and designing end-to-end secure protocols systems
- High understanding of security architecture of decentralized storage networks and blockchains, how user-level applications are built on top of these, and the unsolved hard problems in these areas
- Familiar with high-level security properties of cryptographic protocols, threat models, and how to apply them
- Comfortable with networking and distributed systems topics
