JOB SUMMARY:

• Hand wash all pots, pans utensils and other items unable to run through dish machine.
• Run and clean dish machine as directed.
• Follows sanitization and hygiene guidelines.
• Monitor all temperatures.
• Make rounds at appropriate times to pick up patient trays, carts, etc.
• Take out trash and makes cardboard bales.
• Stores clean dishes, equipment and food in designated areas using FIFO appropriately.
• Clean floors, walls, ceiling, equipment following tasks list.
• Assist where needed as a team member in the Food Nutrition Service Department.
• Attending High School is acceptable as working toward degree. Working toward degree within 24 months.
• Limited access to health information.

 JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Completes all work and task sheets daily.
• Staying on task, hand washes all pots, pans utensils and other items unable to run through dish machine using the appropriate sanitation method.
• Hand wash all pots, pans utensils and other items unable to run through dish machine.
• Run, take apart, clean, put back together the dish machine appropriately.
• Follows all sanitization and hygiene guidelines using the dish machine, carts, walls, floors in working area.
• Monitors and properly records all temperatures.
• Handles all equipment using appropriate sanitation techniques.
• Makes rounds at appropriate times to pick up patient trays on all units, childcare and hospice.
• Takes out trash routinely and makes cardboard bales as needed.
• Stores all clean dishes, equipment and food in designated areas using FIFO appropriately.

1. When stocking, dates all food items, discard with supervisor approval outdated foods.
2. When stocking, stores foods using the FIFO method in the appropriate containers.
3. When stocking, removes food from card board and places in proper containers using FIFO method.

• Cleans floors, walls, ceiling, equipment following tasks list as developed.
• Assist where needed as a team member in the Food Nutrition Service Department.
• Limited access to health information.

 EDUCATION: High School Graduate or working toward degree, or equivalent 

EXPERIENCE:  At least one year of related experience is preferred. Following completion of training, job competency must be demonstrated in actual task completion. Requires high level of maturity in constant dealing with co-workers. Must demonstrate knowledge of problem solving and decision-making.  Must be able to respond appropriately in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must have basic math skills and be able to perform simple calculations.
