    CONTRACT DURATION: 6 MONTHS

    PAY RATE: $ 32 PER HR ON W2

    LOCATION: RICHARDSON,TEXAS 75082

    Looking for a quality engineer to consult and prepare improvement reports PCB and SMT experience required Experience in mechanical assembly Quality management experience preferred Demonstrated technical expertise or Bachelors degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with up to 4 years of related experience in SMT, mechanical assembly, issue resolution and supplier management

    • Responsible for supporting manufacturing SMT (based on IPC 610) and mechanical assembly processes. • Responsible for qualification of PCB, cables, heat sinks and other commodities • Administer elements of the Quality Management System and internal requirements in accordance with requirements to TL9000, ISO 9000 and IPC standards • Support TL measurements and auditing • Documents and monitors closure and effectiveness of corrective action for production issues, defect trends and development of improvement plans for assigned area(s) • Responsible for supplier management on assigned commodities, including but not limited to on-site audits, root cause and corrective action process and performance tracking • Prepares and report results for supplier performance, manufacturing quality and special trends to management on a weekly, monthly and as needed basis • Collaborate with support groups for implementation of improvements, issue resolution and corrective actions, manufacturing process improvements and trend tracking in support of key objectives  • Create and deliver training materials, procedures and work instructions in support of quality objectives and manufacturing processes • Responsible for continuous improvements through the use of Kaizen events, 5S, TPS, etc. • Knowledge and application of IPC standards IPC 600, IPC 610E, IPC 620, with certifications preferred  • ASQ (CQE) Certification preferred • Some experience in TL measurements and auditing preferred  • Sound knowledge of measurement tools, PCB design s/w, DFM knowledge, micro-sectioning, pcb qualifications and improvement methodologies,  • Able to read and interpret drawings and written procedures and apply them to the existing processes and materials, root cause analysis and use of analytical tools • Able to write new procedures related to processes and train personnel • Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter with leadership skills for driving cross-functional activities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical skills using Excel (Pivot Tables, Pareto, etc…) for problem solving and driving process improvements • Proficient in Microsoft Office (esp. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Able to work independently and/or collaborate within a team environment • Knowledge or able to learn Toyota Production Systems (TPS) methodologies • Excellent organizational skills
