    Candidate will design, test, and implement testing (automated and manual) for Verizon Consumer and Mass Business ordering, repair, self-serve, and billing applications. Candidate may also represent the Integrated Testing Organization in various calls with management, vendors, and partners. Recommendations made by candidate should have strong: (a) technical proficiency in developing test automation, (b) quality assurance experience, as well as (c) excellent communication skills.  Skill  In this position SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), candidate will be part of major agile collaborative testing initiative including manual testing along with development and execution of automated test scripts for Regression & Progression software modules in a cloud-based environment using evolving technologies. Candidate will be responsible for end to end testing through multiple applications, creating/updating/retesting/closing bug tickets, and regularly updating test progress. Candidate should have agile experience with tools such as JIRA. Candidate is expected to be experienced in quality assurance, a creative out of the box thinker and a strong problem solver. Candidate must be able to work in a dynamic, agile, team oriented environment and be able to thrive in a war-room setting.  Core Responsibilities:  (1) Partner with internal ITO testers, Development teams, and business partners to develop comprehensive test scripts, identify new test automation methods, and integrate solutions into test planning.  (2) Test manually and run automation scenarios for Verizon Business ordering, repair, self-serve, and billing applications.  (3) Document test results, load artifacts in the repository, and will demonstrate test results at the end of each test cycle.  (4) Collaborate with other test organizations to ensure full end to end validation across the suite of systems is performed; this may include test data staging and management, debugging failures between applications, and or follow-up with other teams.  (5) Operate with little supervision from his or her manager and make decisions on obstacles encountered. Research problems encountered in a test failure and determine if the issue is a fault in the code, test environment, or automation script, versus something that can be corrected and retested.  (6) Operate with strong communication skills and be able to escalate issues to upper management when required.  (7) Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, and EZBI reporting for test management; and DevOps tools such as Jenkins for triggering automation testing.  (8) Multitask and assume complete ownership for all assignments/tasks. Candidate must be flexible and capable of functioning in a rapidly changing environment.
