    Pay rate: $35 per hr on W2

     

    This position is for a technical document writer and part time SharePoint administrator. All documents are processed via Smart Docs software, so use and knowledge of this, or other similar.

    This position is responsible for the review, update, addition, and formatting of documents to be used by technical personnel globally, using primarily Microsoft Word. Documents may be submitted in various formats and will need to be standardized using established templates and software. All documents are hosted and managed via a SharePoint repository and used associated SharePoint developed, customized workflows. These documents may be submitted by persons of limited technical skill. As such, the technical document writer must possess the general technical skill and know how to craft the provided inputs into comprehensive, but yet understandable procedures.

     MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

    The technical document writer should possess the following skills:

    Expert skill in Microsoft Word. Advanced skill in Excel. General technical compute resource knowledge. Must be able to understand the content of the technical documentation. General Windows server and workstation operating system knowledge. General knowledge of other technical systems, such as but not limited to printers, network equipment, non-Windows operating systems, complex physical procedures, etc., SharePoint automation and configuration. Smart Docs or similar document management software experience in both use, configuration, and administration. Organization skills to manage and maintain existing documents and document repositories. Advanced general English language skills, including both grammar, punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure, step by step instructions, etc.
