As a Security Officer your role will include providing physical security to the building of JIATF-South in the event of intruders or threats of many types within the perimeter, monitoring a surveillance system, monitoring an electronic badging/alarm system, as well as a perimeter fence alarm system. You will also conduct tours around the facility to ensure the building is secure, inside and out. We also handle most of the visitors who come into the command and give them credentials to walk around the facility with their JIATFS representative.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide ingress/egress control via the Command Security Center.
- Maintain logs of all visiting personnel entering and leaving the facility.
- Maintain a daily journal of events that occur throughout each shift
- Issuing the proper badges to visitors who have been approved by the USG.
- Conduct interior/exterior sweeps multiple times during a shift and log on the proper forms when a building/room has been secured.
- Observe/monitor the perimeter and facility via CCTV and security systems
- Conduct random inspections or incoming and outgoing property when required.
Required Skills
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires a US Citizenship status.
- Must possess/obtain an active Florida State D & G license. Must obtain with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
- Must Pass a background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance, and be considered for a TS/SCI.
