    VICE PRESIDENT – HUMAN RESOURCES

    Ipsos is looking for an experienced strategic HR professional to join our leadership team.  The role will blend responsibilities of a Senior HR Business Partner with accountability to drive cross-regional HR initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have the business acumen to partner strategically with internal stakeholders as well as drive thought leadership and execution to key initiatives.

    The incumbent will autonomously manage the demands of the day-to-day human resources needs and work collaboratively with the HR team who serve other business units within Ipsos. The position will report directly to the President & Head of Human Resources for North America.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    As a member of the HR Leadership Team, the incumbent will wear two hats: provide strategic and hands-on HR support for assigned business unit(s), and design/steer transformational HR projects, working hand in hand with the President & Head of Human Resources for North America on a daily basis. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: 

    • Act as single point of contact for the employees and managers in the client group.
    • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning talent pipeline requirements in line with the business target operating model including succession planning.
    • Identify skill gaps in the existing population, and deploy strategies working with our COE partner, to close those gaps, including training and development.
    • Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR practices and initiatives; keep current on forward-thinking HR practices and key trends.
    • Act as a liaison between managers and employees by connecting them to appropriate HR Centers of Expertise (COEs); engage with our partners in the COEs to develop and deliver business-centric programs and solutions.
    • Develop thorough understanding of Ipsos NA HR policies and procedures; cultivate relationships with and understanding of HR COE responsibilities and processes.
    • Influence and shape HR processes to align to clients’ operating model.
    • Research best practices and bring new ideas to the table.
    • Build links with talent at all levels within the organization.
    • Strengthen management, leadership and coaching culture in the organization
    • Identify and drive the communication and sharing of standard methodologies across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
    • Organize and interpret data from multiple sources to identify common trends and implications relevant to Human Resources.

     OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Superior coaching and employee relations skills and ability to develop trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization.

    • Create definition, clarity, and alignment amidst ambiguity.

    • Ability to drive and manage change in an ever-evolving environment.

    • Experience in both large and small/medium size organizations; market research, advertising and/or professional services organizations preferred

    • BA preferred; HR/OD related advanced degree and/or other licenses or certifications a plus

    • Strong project management and prioritization skills and process-orientation.

    • The ability to make continuous progress and have impact in a highly distributed environment and knowing when to seek additional support from the head of HR when required.

    • Strong consultative skills and keen ability and desire to identify systemic themes that can be addressed with HR solutions.

    • Experience in fast-paced, matrix organizations and ability to partner, influence and positively challenge business leaders and stakeholders across HR to deliver relevant best outcomes
