DESCRIPTION:

A10 and F5 Tier 4 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide advanced A10 Thunder and F5 Viprion support and troubleshooting expertise to Lab Engineers. In this role the individual will be the expert to support lab engineers and provide advanced technical information regarding A10 and F5 decryption, configuration and operations. The individual should have experience with Proxy configuration of the F5 and be able to support proxy configurations and rules implementation within the platform. The individual should be an expert on the setup, configuration and support of rules and policies on the F5 and A10 platform.

The individual will be supporting a lab environment that is a replica of the production environment. In this role the SME will be the expert to support lab engineers and provide advanced technical information regarding F5 rules, configuration and operations. The SME should be an expert on F5 Viprion LTM (forward and reverse proxy) and GTM (GSLB). The individual should be an expert on CLI and GUI formats to analyze F5 data and provide interpretation of rules and configurations. The individual should be familiar with F5 Proxy capabilities and the setup, configuration and support of proxies on the F5 platform in a production environment

The individual will support the lab team’s efforts to configure the A10 and test and document the results of the testing. The individual will support the testing of specific customer configurations and policies within the environment to determine the impact to the production environment. The candidate should have be an expert on A10 and have a good understanding of network and security protocols and concepts including IP routing, BGP, Network Virtualization including VRFs, Route Domains, L3V Partitions, and network protocols including DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS. Packet Capture and Analysis as well as Wireshark knowledge is highly desirable.

Candidates for this position should have at least 5 years of direct relevant A10, configuration, policy and design experience. The individual should be A10 certified or equivalent. The candidate must be able to get DHS suitability and be subject to DHS background checks before they can support the environment. The candidate should be self-motivated, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
