Scope:
Systems Administrator II administers and configures application server clusters and web servers, as well as setting up server securities. The candidate is also required to investigate, report and document exceptions for development teams. Bachelor¿s Degree and 3 or more years experience are required.
Other Skills
Ability to troubleshoot and isolate moderate to complex system/application/network issues for Linux / UNIX Server based operating systems and hardware.
Familiar with installation, (Kickstart/Jumpstart) and operational support of Enterprise class computing platforms, both physical and virtual.
Ansible Automation experience in supporting enterprise level platforms with playbook creation and execution.
ESX and KVM virtualization experience in administering hypervisors and the VM guest infrastructure
Cloud Computing concepts and solutions- OpenStack and Rackspace configuration and administration
Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability
Experience with configuring and managing system virtualization solutions including VMWare ESX and KVM
¿ Manages the configuration of the system. Supports the rollout of complex projects that impact operational support systems.
¿ A good understanding of high availability / clustering software solutions and the hardware design concepts to support them.
¿ Motivated to deliver quality work and leadership on project implementations
¿ Experience using general office applications in order to perform normal daily work assignments
¿ Experience in implementing system monitoring solutions for system hardware, Operating Systems and underlying application services.
¿ Basic understanding of Operating System services including but not limited to networking of Enterprise Systems, Operating Systems, Database and web services.
¿ Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
¿ Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
