The SOFTWARE ENGINEER position comprises part of a team that is responsible for software development in support of the organization. This team develops, supports and maintains custom software applications, integrations and reports for a variety of business purposes. The Software Engineer directly contributes to the team’s ability to successfully provide high quality software, reliable system integrations and accurate reports.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new solutions as well as updating, maintaining, supporting and extending existing ones.

• Develops and maintains custom applications and reports using defined requirements and specifications.
• Acts as a resource for staff regarding training on computer systems as appropriate.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of user manuals and instructions.
• Documents code changes and reported issues using internal processes.
• Assists in the maintenance of a data warehouse and business intelligence reporting system.
• Develops SQL queries and stored procedures meeting assigned specifications.
• Resolves issues and documents corrective actions taken using internal procedures.
• Cooperates with vendors to troubleshoot commercial software issues.
• Possesses willingness and ability to occasionally travel overnight.

Required Skills

• Ability to program in C# and ASP.NET.
• Ability to work in the Visual Studio integrated development environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
• Ability to travel and move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community, availability of a vehicle, ability to communicate clearly and to work overtime as needed.

Required Experience

• Associate's degree in computer science or related field and 0 - 2 years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
