BASIC PURPOSE
Basic Function Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of skilled level duties related to the installation, maintenance, replacement and repair of electrical systems and equipment at site; assist maintenance staff with HVAC repairs.
MUST HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY AT THE 480/240 VOLT THREE PHASE AND SINGLE PHASE LEVEL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
Installs, maintains, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and also helps to determine when an electrical contractor is required. Two to Four years experience necessary, electrical certification helpful but not required.
Performs basic building repair and minor construction as requested or needed.
Maintains HVAC equipment, compressors, vacuum pumps, plumbing and electrical systems and assist the Facilities Manager in determining when outside service is needed. HVAC certification helpful but not required.
Assist with furniture moves and installations.
Assist in the coordination of outside contractors or vendors for various services to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
Perform facility related tasks geared towards maintaining compliance of building security.
Assist in the supervision of janitorial work in the building.
Adhere to ISO 9000 specifications and requirements.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum, High School Diploma, GED. Working knowledge of industrial electricity at the 480/240 Volt three phase and single phase level and basic knowledge of all areas of maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting, gained through formal education or on the job training required.

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures.
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record for operation of company vehicle.
Able to operate forklift.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to report to work at odd hours and weekends to respond to emergencies.
Requires constant standing and walking, exerting up to 75 lbs of force and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects.
