Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on generator systems, transfer switches, load banks and affiliated system components.
Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems to ensure proper phase rotation.
Inspect conductors for excessive heating from overloading conditions, insulation degrading and/or excessive harmonics heating influence, torque of connections, and compliance with the NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E specifications and requirements for grounding, bonding, and sizing/insulation of conductors.
Identify, repair, and/or document any deficiencies with existing equipment.
Learns new maintenance requirements for new or existing electrical systems and applies new requirements to existing Maintenance Procedures.
Operates and maintains test equipment to high standards. Assures test equipment calibration requirements are maintained.
Provide a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on guidance to ensure proper PM and repair of designated equipment and systems to local site personnel as directed.
Perform a limited electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting survey of site power generation electrical systems.
Assist the client in planning work, obtaining material product data, scheduling shipments, coordinating logistics, and identifying requirements to minimize impact on local operations.
Collect identifiable information for purposes of equipment inventory.
Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
Position requires up to 100% travel worldwide.

Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and be able to lift and carry materials and tools in excess of 25 lbs.
Must be familiar with the requirements outlined by NFPA 70 (E), EGSA, AEE, OSHA and other safety regulations.
Must hold a valid Journeyman electric license/certification at a State level.
Have a minimum of five (5) years practical experience (to have been completed within the last 8 years) after license issuance in the rehabilitation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical generating and power transfer equipment.
OR
Be a graduate of a State approved/accredited or military program that provides formal training in electrical generating power transfer equipment and diesel engines.
Have five (5) years’ experience (to have been completed within the last 8 years) in rehabilitation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical generating and power transfer equipment.
