POSITION OVERVIEW:
Alutiiq is immediately filling positions to support the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) requirement for Pre-Screening Background Investigative Support Services for the suitability of employees who will be hired during the 2020 Census. The prospective employee will be responsible for conducting background investigations for the United States Census Bureau.
PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Adjudicate employee and candidate background investigation results utilizing the Adjudicative Guidelines and Suitability Factors
- And all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities
- Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly and clearly communicate in person
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a pre-employment background investigation
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- One year’s experience in providing background investigations and/or suitability determinations
- Experience in reviewing applicant correspondence including court documents, references and fingerprints and criminal history check results.
- Experience in Tier 1/NACI reviews including reviews of SF-85, OF-306 and FBI Criminal History
- Check Results. Must have the ability to analyze data, highlight key findings and communicate issues/problems orally and written format with minimal supervision.
- Courses, training, and/or certification in Suitability Adjudication
