LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK  

TITLE: General Clerk I – TEMPORARY POSITION

SUMMARY:

The General Clerk I follows specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

• Coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file.
• Simple posting to individual accounts.
• Opening mail.
• Calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts.
• Operating basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
• Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.
• May compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
• May keep record of work completed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and training, with 3-6 months experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office EXCEL, WORD, ADOBE PDF (Costpoint, Maximo and Concur) software, applications and interfaces.
