    GENERAL SUMMARY The RF Engineer in this role will provide program support to military customers while working in an experienced team environment developing and exercising RF and antenna technology as applied to mobile data  applications. “stuff deleted” Performs system of system analysis. Provides technical leadership to small mixed-discipline teams

     PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

    • Select and or design RF systems to support requirements.
    • Build and test prototype RF systems verifying trade studies.
    • Recommend best path forward to meet requirements and customer needs
    • Work with team to build best possible system of systems.
    • Determine the performance of RF communication links and create link budgets using direct measurement, analytical methods or by applying analysis to simulation tools.
    • Participate in Systems requirements reviews, Preliminary & Critical Design Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings and peer reviews.
    • Perform RF interference and compatibility analyses, RF coverage analyses, and Power Flux Density analyses for Space and ground based communication systems.
    • Perform analyses using software such as Matlab, Simulink and Excel.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    • May provide work leadership to lower level employees

    SKILLS THAT ARE STRONGLY PREFERRED: ANTENNA THEORY AND MODELING

    • FEKO Antenna Analysis
    • General systems theory
    • Deterministic and random signal processing
    • Control systems
    • RF modulation/communication/tracking
    • RF transmitter/receiver theory and operational experience (e.g., software controlled RF devices)
    • C/C++
    • MATLAB/Simulink, Python
    • Deterministic and random signal processing
    • Ability to prepare and compose technical reports and briefings
    • Ability to effectively deliver technical briefing
    • Familiar with FEKO Antenna Analysis

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years related experience
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Direct experience in Radio and Microwave Frequency antenna design
    • Direct experience in setting up Wireless Networks and Wireless antennas
    • Direct experience with Electromagnetic Frequency antennas
