    Network Engineer II is responsible for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management center or organization. The candidate provides technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions. Candidate will be responsible for design, integration, operation and management of complex enterprise networks, linking a variety of platforms, operating systems, network topologies and network protocols. Candidate makes recommendations related to network architecture, evaluation of hardware and software products and problem resolution.  Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience.  5-8 years of related work experience.

    Job description: Network Engineer Ii is responsible for reviewing reports from capacity tools (currently Computer Associates Performance Management & Network Flow Analysis) for day to day operational activities. The candidate will participate in defining Metrics to be captured for 5000 plus network devices within the capacity application. Candidate will conduct supply/demand, trend analysis, and provide recommendations for proactive capacity planning to mitigate risk and rationalize the optimal amount network resources to meet business needs, service level requirements and IT infrastructure growth capacity. Candidate will participate in design meetings providing guidance from capacity & performance perspective. Candidate will also partner with members of the network operations and engineering teams to assist with diagnosis and performance-related incidents and problems and will work directly clients for resolution.  Candidate must have familiarity with vendor platforms including Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, F5 and Aruba  and technical knowledge of routing, switching, virtual networking, network security, load balancing, wireless, circuits, VPN, voice, video, and data. Candidate must have great verbal and written communications skills and be able to work overtime and after hours as needed.

    • Assist customer from store and/or offer car service when appropriate

    FINANCIAL

    • Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment
    • Ensure all cash handling policies & procedures are adhered to
    • Ensure all opening & closing procedures are done correctly (when applicable)
    • Complete end of day till reports (when applicable)
    • Ensure safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable)

    DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS

    • Perform all opening and closing procedures (when applicable)
    • Stock shelves and cooler with product
    • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
    • Participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning
    • Other tasks as assigned

    REGULATORY ADHERENCE

    • Ensure that OHS, LP, ProServe/Serving It Right/TAP or Rserving and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to
    • Maintain First-Aid, LP and OHS Training
    • Maintain ProServe/Serving It Right/TAP or Rserving Certification
    • Ensure AGLC/BC LRS/AK ABC Board and other government guidelines are met
    • Adheres to all Afognak Native Corporation policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    WORK EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED/PREFERRED

    • Minimum, 1-year experience in retail environment (preferred, not required)

    EDUCATION – REQUIRED/PREFERRED

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • ProServe/Serving It Right/TAP or Rserving Certification is considered an asset
    • First-Aid Certificate is considered an asset
    • Training in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required)

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Available to work a varied retail schedule, including evening and weekends
    • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
    • Able to stand for an extended period
    • Comfortable climbing ladders
