Stamford Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our Float Pool on a per diem basis. The Clinical Assistant will maintain patient safety through continuous observation via remote video monitoring. The CNA will serve as a first line of action by communicating with patients via two-way audio to prevent unsafe behaviors and conditions. This position may float to different units of the hospital as staffing needs change.

Schedule: Per Diem, night shift 11:00pm-7:00am. Must be able to commit to 9 shifts in a 6 week period, 2 of the shifts must be Sundays.

Required Skills

1. Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

2. Must have one of the following:

• Certified from a CNA program
• Enrolled in an accreditated nursing program having completed core nursing curriculum for ADLs' as part of clinical rotations
• A graduate of a foreign nursing program
• A graduate of an accredited nursing program, having failed board licensure (2 chances)

3. Heart Saver or equivalent required

Required Experience

1. Computer proficiency required

2) Ability to work independently and be self-directed

3. Excellent communication skills
