  • Responsibilities
    • Functions as a expert resource for UAS
    • Able to set up, calibrate, tune, fly and test UAS Group 1 and 2
    • Lead team on composite manufacturing and fabrication
    • Act as Part 107 pilot or Ground control system operator as needed
    • Diagnose, repair, test and verify UAS new designs or fielded returns
    • Prepare reports, make presentations on UAS designs and projects
    • Work with software and hardware teams developing new and interesting solutions to various problems presented by customer
    • Adapt new UAS technology to TSTORM mission

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 10 years related experience to include UAS experience
    • Must be able to design and manufacture using 3D printers.
    • U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance after start date
    • Must be able to work in a group setting to include leading efforts at time and supporting members of leadership. 
    • Must be able to collaboratively work with diverse technical abilities and personalities in a professional manner.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • UAS Pilot with greater than 15 years fixed wing aircraft and 10 years multirotor experience 
    • Knowledge of professional applications of Ardupilot and PX4 
    • Composite machining and fabrication experience, CNC, 3D printing. 
    • Current FAA Part 107 certification 
    • Demonstrated hands on knowledge of composite manufacturing and design. 
    • Demonstrated design and build of fixed wing and multirotor UAS in a professional environment.
    • Demonstrated skill in UAS bench testing, Flight Testing, wind tunnel testing.
    • Demonstrated expertise in UAS setup, calibration, tuning, flying and testing.
