MWA External Faculty – Requisition Number: 8654351  For each of the 6 Modern Web Academy courses, instructors assigned to a course will be given a one-time allowance of up to 20 hours to prep for the course, based on the length of the course (30 min of prep for each 1 hour of class) at a rate of $70 US:  A. MW Fundamentals – 40 hours (up to 20 hours of one-time prep)  B. MW Design – 24 hours (up to 12 hours of one-time prep)  C. MW Tooling and Automation – 24 hours (up to 12 hours of one-time prep)  D. MW App Dev: Angular – 40 hours (up to 20 hours of one-time prep)  E. MW App Dev: React/Redux – 40 hours (up to 20 hours of one-time prep)  F. MW App Dev: Node.js – 40 hours (up to 20 hours of one-time prep)  For each Live Classroom session and Virtual ILT session that runs for a course that an instructor is assigned to, they will be allotted between 24 to 40 hours to instruct the session (depending on length of the course - a 1:1 ratio) with a bill rate of up to $130 US/hour. Additionally, for each session they will be allotted up to 3 hours of pre/post admin time at a bill rate of $130 US.  The bill rate of up to $130 is as such as each course utilizes a Pluralsight content backbone which doesn't require instructors to prep content for delivery, deliver lectures, and set up activities like is needed for a typical custom development ILT course. Rather they complete/scan the Pluralsight Vendor content/activities to understand what the learner will be doing and identify areas learners may be challenged and need coaching. Instructors also facilitate discussions, pop quizzes and other interactions. Depending on the course, they provide feedback on the learner’s/team’s application project.  The following is the Staffing/Delivery Process:

    1. Goal is to staff session overall with a ratio of 60% External Faculty and 40% Internal Faculty.
    2. At 8-12 weeks out, Central staffing will attempt to staff sessions from the Internal Faculty Pool.
    3. If no Internal Faculty have yet accepted by week 8, then Central Staffing will go to the External Faculty Pool and tentatively assign faculty. Central Staffing will continue to solicit for Internal Faculty.
    4. At 6 weeks, External Faculty will be confirmed assuming no need to cancel due to low enrollment. Preliminary confirmation communication sent to Faculty.
    5. From weeks 2-12, MWA L&TD uses standard communication protocols to solicit participants.
    6. At 4 weeks if below 15 participants, Escalation Process implemented with Technology and Digital Leadership and Audience Leads.
    7. At 2 weeks, course cancelled if enrollment below 15 participants – no time charged by Faculty.
    8. If at 2 weeks, enrollment is 15 participants or more, then Faculty commence preparation and then session moves forward. Final Confirmation communication sent to Faculty.
    9. Weeks 0-2, Faculty prep for the course (one-time prep).
    10. 3 days prior, join 30-minute call with MWA Support/Delivery.
    11. 1-2 days prior, Faculty send Skype Coaching invites to participants for first day of the session. Delivery sends out the Instructor-Skype call invites to participants for all days of the course.
    12. Session Delivery, instruct, coach, problem solve, monitor chat, share stories/experience/tips and tricks, take attendance, and gather Skill IQ Assessment results (pre and post).
    13. Session plus 1 day, send IQ Skill Assessment Results to MWA Support, send Attendance Roster to Delivery Session Planner, and complete Course Session Faculty Feedback Form.
