    DESCRIPTION:

     

    Experienced BUSINESS MANAGER (BM) for Electronics and New Energy will be responsible for growing an adhesives business within the Americas region. This position will succeed by gaining market share and achieving profit goals within the various markets related to electronics and new energy. The markets for electronics include industrial, commercial, medical, military, and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). The markets for New Energy include solar, wind, and energy storage.

     

    The BM is directly responsible for creating and executing a regional strategy that aligns with the global approach in these markets. It includes establishing and managing both direct and indirect sales channels within the region. The BM will support and drive the elevation of our regional go to market strategy as it relates to sales channels, product offerings, customer profiles, and our global infrastructure. The BM will work with the Global Business Director to set and achieve sales targets, improve market share, implement pricing strategies, control expenses, and deliver technical/application services within the region.

     

    This position is home-based and reports to the Global Business Unit Manager.

     

     

    • Manage a team of 2 direct reports as well as coordinate team members in a matrix reporting structure
    • Develop, as well as lead the team to develop, strong personal and interactive relationships with key personnel across multiple functions at developed accounts. The ability to develop and provide value to a vast array of teams including product development teams, manufacturing teams, operations teams, and procurement is required.
    • Be the focal point of information for H.B. Fuller regarding the growth strategies, new products and corresponding opportunities for adhesive sales. Identify all relevant product development/ material needs.
    • Develop a growth plan for the assigned territory and market sectors that identifies the key programs we are targeting, our value proposition, internal resources needed to close, external relationship strategy, and clear product requirements.
    • Monitor and communicate progress against growth plan.
    • Act as a liaison with R&D teams, providing feedback about current and future customer needs.
    • Provide functional expertise to the management of the product line, including value pricing support, marketing communications, and content development.
    • Leads the new product and technology introduction process/strategy. Coordinates between R&D, commercial, and manufacturing teams for successful platform product launches.
    • Provides leadership to ensure that all new technology innovations / intellectual property is protected and appropriately defended in the marketplace.
     
    

     

    REQUIREMENTS: 

     

    • BS OR BA IN SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, CHEMISTRY, MARKETING, BUSINESS, OR RELATED DEGREE REQUIRED.
    • EXPERIENCE: 10+ YEARS’ EXPERIENCE in electronics adhesives applications, clean energy, or solar, and strong customer base.
    • LEADERSHIP: 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE FORMALLY LEADING A TEAM
    • Ability to manage a team of direct reports as well as team members in a matrix reporting structure
    • Ability to create and execute a strategy
    • Demonstrated customer relationship management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups and cross-culturally
    • Global or multi-regional experience.
    • Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
    • Must clearly demonstrate superior communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers at all levels at both customers and internal management including executive levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly prioritize and operate in a flexible, fluid environment.
    • Must be willing and able to travel over 50% of the time both domestically and globally.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • MBA preferred
    • Scientific / technical background
    • Experience in solar, wind or energy storage applications

    This position is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended and stoop. Employees regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
