    The Project Manager will represent the Office of Educational Technology (OET) as the connection between management, OET and other lines of business at Georgia Gwinnett College . The role of the Project Manager is essential planning, procurement, and execution of multiple prioritized project demands

    Essential Functions Essential Functions • Demonstrate effective and efficient management of campus-wide initiatives supporting senior management and constituents on campus. • Build relationships with constituents and 3rd party vendors for campus-wide initiatives. • Successfully manage project initiatives from inception to completion within scope, time and budget. • Elicit and document business requirements for software development and infrastructure projects. • Facilitate status meetings, produce and distribute minutes to the project team. • Minimize exposure to issues and risks on projects. • Collaborate with senior management to establish project management standards on campus. • Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude in accomplishing goals and objectives. • Maintain continuity of departmental functions in the event VP/CIO is unavailable. • Responsible for managing large campus events. Functions include, but not limited to allocating resources, establishing Audio and Visual, Digital Signage, Network, Computer HW and SW needs, etc. • In charge of procurement and installation of Closed Circuit Television cameras on campus. Responsible for managing the budget for camera projects. • Takes ownership in building a technology solution to track and manage projects within OET. • Administer renovations between Classroom Technology Support (CTS) and Facilities teams for removal and upgrade of technology in classrooms. • Orchestrate planning and pricing models for data, voice and classroom technology for new buildings and renovations. • Assist with various assignments in OET to meet customer expectations and demands. • Adhere to requests from senior management addressing issues directly affecting faculty, staff, and students. • College SharePoint Technical administration representative. • Other duties, as assigned.

     

    Required Skills

    Qualifications Education Requirements Required • 5 years in managing medium to large scale projects, using project management tools and/or techniques. • 5 years of Microsoft SharePoint administration experience. • Experience working autonomously and/or in a team-oriented dynamic environment. • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-pressure environment is crucial. • Adapts easily to change in priorities, while maintaining calm and composure. • Can make quick, sound decisions for projects and teams. • Skilled in reading communication styles of team members and 3rd party vendors from a broad spectrum of disciplines. • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent knowledge of Software/System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), phases and output of deliverables. • Self-starter takes initiative with proper follow up communication (when necessary)

    Preferred • PMP certification • Microsoft SharePoint Certification • Master's Degree in Business, Information Technology or related discipline • Experience in managing diverse project teams • Interaction with C-Level executives • Demonstrate leadership and professionalism

    Physical Requirements Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone, and in writing. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
