    We are seeking an ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY SPECIALIST to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for corporate EHS procedural and initiative implementation, including but not limited to work instruction and associated training development, metrics tracking and trending, monthly and annual inspection programs and claim’s management and incident recordkeeping.   

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Manages, oversees and authors the Numotion EHS standard practice and training libraries.
    • Works with VP EHS to establish EHS metric-driven initiatives reducing overall work-related risks and incidences of injury.
    • Manages formal incident investigation and root cause analysis process following OSHA recordable incidents.
    • Oversees PC365 claims management process and drives Numotion’s Safe and Early Return to Work standard practice.
    • Monthly metrics reporting of EHS-related documentation including, but not limited to incident claims management, at-risk concerns.
    • Serve as administrator for Intelex online incident management and inspection system; including the appropriate designation of incidents according to the OSHA Recordkeeping Standard (29 CFR 1904).
    • Receives and manages responses to telephone and written inquiries from claimants, attorneys, physicians and policyholders.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

     

    • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • 4-6 years of experience implementing world caliber EHS program
    • Formal incident investigation and root cause analysis experience
    • Workers’ Compensation claims management and OSHA recordkeeping experience
    • Intermediate proficiency with 10 key typing skills
    • Intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Basic knowledge of state Worker’s Compensation laws, subrogation, reserve setting, and litigation management
    • Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises;
    • Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects;
    • Ability to work over eight hours in a work day, and over 40 in a work week as necessary;
    • Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
    • Office environment with extended periods of sitting, computer use, and data entry using mouse and keyboard.
    • Some travel (20-30%)
