    CONTRACT DURATION: 8 MONTHS

    Network Engineer II is responsible for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management center or organization. The candidate provides technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions. Candidate will be responsible for design, integration, operation and management of complex enterprise networks, linking a variety of platforms, operating systems, network topologies and network protocols. Candidate makes recommendations related to network architecture, evaluation of hardware and software products and problem resolution.  Bachelor¿s Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience.  5-8 years of related work experience.  Must be eligible to work in the US.

    Required Skills

    10 hr. shifts, 4 days a week, Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat.  MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHIFTS AND DAYS!  No exceptions.

     

    Participates and leads configurations, implementation, and support of all network systems Participates in a collaborative efforts to manage and resolve complex network problems and coordinates resolution Participates in incident management, asset management, change management, project management, and continuous improvement of network environment Manages, configures, and implements routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and other network systems and services.

    Develops wireless network infrastructures and makes recommendation on systems enhancements for optimization.

    Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.

    Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN tunnels and Firewall rules Be aware of and follow existing network management change procedures Work outside of normal business hours when required (scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute urgent requests) Create and/or update network documentation in various systems per established process and standards.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    5+ years of progressive experience in the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks.

    Professional level understanding of wireless networking including IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi Standards, Controller based Wi-Fi systems, Client to Network Authentication mechanisms (EAP/TLS, PEAP, etc.), RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, Internet VPNs (IPSEC and SSL) Possess knowledge of TCP/IP V4 layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing including failover and redundancy configuration (VRRP/ HSRP) Knowledge and/or experience with Clearpass and Airwave appliances, Aruba Wireless controller technologies and wireless access points.

    Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support (SIP based call routing, IVRU, Text to Speech) helpful Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required .

    Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.

    Ability to manage several concurrent tasks and priorities.

    Previous Retail Store network deployments.

    Knowledge of new technologies (SD-Wan, Cloud based solutions, virtualization.
