The Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana invites applications for the Director of Fiscal Operations (Director). The Director has fiduciary responsibilities for all funds allocated to the School of Law, including: state-funded, auxiliary, designated accounts, Foundation endowments and quasi-endowments, scholarship funds, annually contributed funds, as well as all departmental grants and contracts, and includes providing both direct and indirect supervision and oversight to School of Law administrative support personnel. The Director independently develops and manages budgets, including planning, assessing, forecasting, consulting and reporting for all fiscal accounts within the School of Law.

For more than a century, the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana has been a leader in legal education, with a commitment to educating lawyers and preparing them to serve society since its first class of students in 1911. Each year, approximately 80 students enroll from across the country looking for a hands-on approach to legal education. Under the guidance of dedicated faculty and staff, students thrive in an experience-rich environment that integrates theory and practice. UM’s School of Law is ranked 11th in the nation for best value and received an A grade as a “Top School for Environmental Law” by PreLaw Magazine. The law school is also home to the Max S. Baucus Institute and the Department of Public Administration and Policy, the nation’s only accredited Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program positioned within a law school.
