    POSITION OVERVIEW

     

    The Product Development Chemist reports to EA Electronics AP R&D Manager. The position is located at the company’s Yantai R&D Center, Yantai, China.

     

    The PD Chemist will be responsible for

    • Developing and commercializing new products for both new and existing applications from opportunity identification through scale-up and commercialization.
    • Establishing a stable production process and optimize process parameters by cooperation with Production tightly to achieve and meet quality requirement.
    • Manage effectively the scale-up in technology process and economic transfer of new product technologies from PD and other MFG sites to Yantai to bring innovative new products to global customer.
    • Take the role as technical window in Operation. Cooperate with PD, PM and purchasing on raw material localization and raw material replacement projects.
    • Lead technically in customer complaint investigation to enhance the quality to satisfy customer requirement.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES

     

    L   IMPLEMENT CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS ON PRODUCTS' TECHNOLOGIES & PROCESSES TO IMPROVE SUPPLY CHAIN, REDUCE COST, FASTEN RESPONSE AND ENSURE TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WITH SHORT LEAD-TIME AND BEST COST. (30%)

    L   LEAD PROCESS ENGINEERS TO IMPLEMENT TECHNICAL DATA COLLECTION AND STATISTIC. ANALYZE NONCONFORMANCE OF PROCESS AND MAKE IMPROVEMENT AND UPDATING. PARTICIPATE CUSTOMER'S COMPLAIN ANALYSIS AND MAKE SUMMARY TO IMPROVE OUR PROCESS QUALITY. (25%)

    L   TAKE THE ROLE OF TECHNICAL LEADER IN STAGE GATE AND NEW PRODUCT TRANSFER. STUDY NEW PROCESS AND PRODUCTION CAPACITY. COORDINATE ALL DEPARTMENTS TO MAKE SURE TO MEET THE PROJECT SCHEDULE AND ACHIEVE QUALIFIED PERFORMANCE. (15%)

    L   MANAGE AND COMPILE TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS. LEAD TO SET UP WORK INSTRUCTION. PROVIDE TECHNICAL TRAINING TO OPERATORS. (15%)

    L   MANAGEMENT OF DOCUMENT SYSTEM OF RAW MATERIAL AND PRODUCT, AND LOCAL STANDARD OPERATION PROCEDURE (SOP) (10%)

    L   TAKE PART IN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND SHEQ TECHNOLOGY RELATIVE WORK. (5%)

     Minimum Requirements

     

    • Master degree of polymer chemistry or polymer materials or above
    • Good English reading and written ability
    • Good communication skill, good teamwork skill.

    Requires 24x7x365 support so candidates must be able to support flexible hours and schedules to ensure all shifts are covered

     

    Wireless Data Infrastructure Front Office Technician Provide advanced technical support; solving complicated issues associated with system administration, operations, repair and surveillance for multiple data centric platforms in a 24 by 7 environment. Work with other groups on complex issues. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Complete end to end hardware replacement functions from identification to resolution while ensuring documentation is updated with both  databases and the vendors (if required). Follow document content (Method of Procedures (MOP), job aids, and process improvements) to increase network availability and reduce mean-time-to-restore (MTTR).

    Qualifications:

    • The candidate should have 1-3 years IP network administration experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Self-discipline to document and follow up on assignments
    • Self-motivation in-order to drive issues to resolution
    • Excellent inter- relationship/teamwork skills
    • The selected candidate will provide support for multiple national platforms, to include layer 2 and 3 routing/switching, deep packet inspection, policy configuration, supporting servers running Sun, SCO, AIX, HP, Linux and/or Windows operating systems and vendor provided applications in a 24/7 support environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong Routing/Switching networking, UNIX systems administration skills, the desire and ability to rapidly learn new technologies and the ability to effectively manage issues to resolution. Candidates will also demonstrate the ability to prioritize issues, deal with multiple competing priorities, and remain focused in a fast paced work environment

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of Unix operating system and command structure
    • Basic knowledge of IP routing and protocols Tools/Systems:  Netcool, TRAMS, SecureCRT
