JOB SUMMARY:
- To monitor and operate all computers utilizing established HIS standards and procedures
- Ensure correct and timely completion of all assigned duties on each shift
- Serves as helpdesk function and responds to identify and correct computer problems
- Under indirect, remote, periodic supervision of Information Systems Coordinator
- Complete protected health information access to patient billing. Limited protected health information access otherwise.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Completes problem log forms in a timely fashion.
- Any resolutions reached are documented along with the problem and logs forms are turned in to the Information Systems Assistant each shift
- Submits second and third shift department exit logs daily to Information Systems Assistant
- Generates and delivers reports timely and accurately
- Willing to learn new skills as needed
- Keeps departmental absences as short as reasonably possible to adequately perform customer services required or needed
- Reports all non-repairable issues to immediate supervisor daily

EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in data processing or information systems field preferred
EXPERIENCE: Preferred previous experience in hospital or healthcare computer operation functions and personal computers. Microsoft Office experience preferred.
