POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will support research, development, test, evaluation, and engineering to Navy, Marine Corps, and other DoD manned and unmanned air systems; avionics; surveillance systems; and air traffic control and communications systems and all related mechanical components.

PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Sr Electrical Engineer will perform on projects in a lab environment as well as support projects in the field. The chosen candidate will be required to work directly with the Government customer to assess materials, develop components, assess, interpret and approve drawing requirements for  engineering tasks over a broad range of technology scope. The senior engineer will be required to provide technical leadership to junior technical personnel; understand and develop communications systems by creating applicable Technical Data Packages (TDP), Installation Requirements Documents (IRD), Ships Installation Drawings (SID) and US Navy Shore Installation Drawing Packages (IDP). The position will include the creation of 3D CAD models of existing structures and systems derived from laser scanned measurement data.  This position will require working closely with engineers and technicians of various disciplines supporting leading edge technology up to and including ongoing engineering support in a Virtual Reality (VR) environment. This work is currently on a long term and stable contract with the U.S. Navy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification program
• Applicable experience with circuit design, system evaluation/testing.
• Experience in US Navy Shipboard SATCOM system design is highly desired
• U.S. Citizenship status required
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
