IAP is seeking an experienced Analyst to conduct New Equipment Training (NET) support to U.S. Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve Forces at military bases world-wide as directed by the customer.

• Provide training support for elements of the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A) Family of Systems (FoS).
• Meteorology, performing Meteorologist duties, and training others by overseeing and implementing the development of documentation and planning/executing the fielding and conducting New Equipment Training (NET) in support of C4ISRSystems and Equipment, specifically related to Weather Systems.
• Candidate will support NET through the development and presentation of software applications on the Distributed Common Ground Systems-Army (DCGS-A) Family of Systems, with the focus on Meteorology applications. Develop documentation includes lesson plans, practical exercises, working aids, and materials responsive to specific unit requirements that support preparation and execution of training to facilitate units' mission accomplishment. .

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Conduct formal classroom training using prepared training materials.
• Conduct over-the-shoulder (OTS) training support during exercises or in operational environments.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance integrating DCGS-A tools and products into unit intelligence operations.
• Plan and develop intelligence training programs of instruction (POI) to support each organization's training needs.
• Plan/develop instructional plans, products, and other training support materials for DCGS-A training topics.
• Plan/develop and implement student evaluation materials to measure training effectiveness.
• Provide input for changes to training materials to meet changing mission requirements, e.g. resource requirements, hardware/ software changes, and doctrinal/threat changes.
• Validate training materials by conducting independent system verification and validation (IV&V) to review training materials against the system to verify training materials are accurate representation of system functions.
• Provide specific input for changes to training materials based on independent results of IV&V.
• Provide recommendations to developer/program manager for fixes based on problems discovered during IV&V.
• Maintain modifications or additions to training material in accordance with current applicable Army directives and initiatives and customer requirements.
• Coordinate training topics and daily class schedules with the organization points of contact.
• Coordinate/confirm site support and technical support for classroom space to support assigned training events.
• Coordinate/confirm training material delivery to assigned training events.
• Apply physical, document, and electronic security procedures for classified material.
• Perform administrative tasks in support of training including individual travel arrangements, preparing student certificates, and contract reporting requirements.
• Participate in training related meetings, conferences and reviews and provide input and feedback to the customer in designated format.

LABOR QUALIFICATIONS

• METEROLOGIST INTELLIGENCE TRAINING SPECIALIST: Bachelors and 5 years of relevant experience OR 10 years of experience in lieu of degree

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a trainer/instructor is required, Military instructor experience is preferred
• Experience with the Army & DoD training is a plus.
• Experience with or knowledge of U.S. Army tactical or Enterprise network or systems support is preferred.
• DCGS-A and Microsoft Office experience is important.
• Experience with one or more of the following legacy or follow-on systems are preferred: ACE Block II, CHARCS, CGS, DTSS, IMETS, TGS.
• Experience with unit intelligence operations is helpful.
• Must be current on DA and parallel DoD training standards, regulations and methods.
• Must have the ability to overcome mission challenges with software and equipment.
• Must have the ability to adapt to changing requirements and stay current on evolving systems and software.
• Must know Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) and how it applies to creating products on automated systems.
• Must be current on Department of the Army and parallel Department of Defense training standards, regulations and methods.
• Must be able to work alone and in a team environment, occasionally under time constraints.
• Must be security conscious, financially responsible, and able to effectively manage time.

CERTIFICATIONS: Trainer Certification is encouraged

TRAVEL:

• Frequent and high percentage travel schedule (up to 70%) occasionally on short notice.
• Travel is usually 3 to 5 weeks per trip but may occasionally have little break between trips or trips of up to 5 weeks in length.
• Travel is worldwide and may include areas considered combat zones.

CLEARANCE:

• Required to Start: Active Secret Clearance with SSBI
• Must be able to obtain within 90 days: TS/SCI

WORK SCHEDULE: Normal schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 hours @ day; however, there is significant travel <70%> world-wide travel to support the ongoing military training mission. Travel is often performed on weekends and extended days are frequent, it is not unusual to occasionally work 10-12 hour days on critical missions.
