    ADVANCED SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

     

    MAIN MISSION: To support all European programs and their respective teams in all aspects of supplier APQP quality planning, product/design verification, supplier PPAP approval, process qualification, problem solving, and quality management. To work within an experienced team with the common goal of driving to achieve and maintain world class quality performance in the supply chain.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Support the supplier's PPAP process by reviewing and approving the supplier's PPAP submission, including any required monitoring and coordination of incremental samples for dimensional review and assembly tests.
    • Support the production plant by ensuring that the technical and quality requirements of all components from the supplier are met.
    • Manage vendor notifications, response, constraints, cause determination, corrective action, and vendor quality issues through an internal vendor tracking database.
    • Track all costs associated with poor quality components and / or service delivered; summarize these costs and communicate to the supplier through the recording process.
    • The owner of the process of receiving and checking the material supplied, which includes overseeing inspections and storing incoming inspection reports, data or records.
    • Report supplier performance and quality on a monthly basis using standardized reports. Identify the supply quality team to all ongoing system quality problems as well as low-performance vendors

     

    REQUIREMENTS:  

     

    • At least 2 years of experience on similar position
    • Sound knowledge of APQP
    • Experience in driving improvement plans for supplier with poor performance
    • Knowledge and experience in 8D process
    • Problem solving attitude
    • Experience in perform quality system audits (ISO TS)
    • Fluency in English language

    • Maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other employees on procedures, Policies, directives, etc. and obtain needed information or decisions from Lead on Problems that come up.
    • Knowledge of the structure, missions and functions of the organization to process incoming, outgoing, and interoffice special category mail of a technical nature for a large organization.
    • Knowledge of postal regulations and organizational administrative regulations applicable to processing of all types of mail.
    • Knowledge to operate mail room equipment (Proof of Delivery Systems, like Pitney Bowes Arrival software).
    • Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lead Mail Clerk or Shift Lead Mail Clerk who provides instructions concerning any substantial changes or deviations from established procedures. Work is spot-checked for accuracy and timeliness.
    • Guidelines are numerous, but clear-cut and specific and work is performed according to those guides and in accordance with oral instructions from Lead, who also approves any deviations.
    • The work involves a variety of discrete types of mail and mail processing duties. Some routing requires consideration of subject-matter content. Both security classified and unclassified materials are processed.
    • The work provides an expeditious flow of mail throughout the organization and to other agencies. Effective routing of materials promotes timely processing within serviced organization.
    • Knowledge of USPS, UPS, and FEDEX online shipping services (i.e. Click and Ship for USPS).
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current mail handlers card (DD form 285).
