IDEMIA Identity and Security USA LLC is seeking to hire a Technical Support Engineer in our Sustaining Engineering team. The team supports large scale enterprise software solutions for the Driver License and ID Programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):
- Troubleshoot issues in fielded software, configuration and database related issues in an Enterprise environment
- Provide scripting necessary to update workstations both internally and for Customer environments
- Debug automated deployment tools where applicable
- Deploy application updates to fielded programs
- Interact with hardware peripherals and software drivers
- Update technical engineering documentation
- Interact with other technical support engineers, developers, Systems Engineers, Program Managers, QA Engineers, and Application Engineers
Required Skills
- Basic scripting/programming – Batch, PowerShell, VB, .NET Microsoft .NET
- Good understanding of application logic and end to end workflow
- .NET Web Services
- XML
- SQL Server
DESIRED SKILLS:
- SSRS
- Oracle
- Linux OS a plus
Required Experience
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting and troubleshooting applications and associated platforms
- Experience with Windows based systems that include complex user interfaces and advanced peripheral devices in a distributed network environment
- IIS installation, troubleshooting, configuration and administration experience
- SQL Server troubleshooting, administration and basic scripting
- Working knowledge of Windows troubleshooting, installation, administration, configuration and mass-deployment
- Working knowledge of Windows Server troubleshooting, installation, administration and configuration
- .NET web services installation
- Basic Active Directory configuration and administration
- OS updates, including WSUS and SCCM
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and how to troubleshoot, including TCP/IP configuration, DNS, standard service ports and firewall configurations
- Tools such as FTP, Telnet, SSH and remote desktop
- Basic understanding of Certificates
- Good oral and written communication skills
