STV has an opportunity for an experienced DEPARTMENT MANAGER TO LEAD THE COMBINED CIVIL/HIGHWAY AND BRIDGE DESIGN GROUP in our LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ office. This individual will be responsible for leading a group of engineering professionals in delivering transportation infrastructure projects to numerous public agency transportation clients, and leading the office’s practice in highway, street and bridge design. Main responsibilities include: leading a combined group of highway and bridge professionals; conducting aggressive and targeted business development strategies and teaming activities to win work and grow the group; winning projects of increasing complexity, and to acting as a seller-doer for large mega projects that require seasoned management skills. This team leader will be heavily involved in staff professional development, growth, retention and recruiting. The individual will also contribute significantly to increased sales and revenue generation and serve as client manager for existing and new clients. The individual will work with the NJ Leader and Northeast Regional Director to establish annual business strategies, goals and objectives.

Required Skills Required Experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures.
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record for operation of company vehicle.
Able to operate forklift.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to report to work at odd hours and weekends to respond to emergencies.
Requires constant standing and walking, exerting up to 75 lbs of force and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects.

Facility machinery, basic construction, electrical, HVAC and plumbing maintenance.
