DESCRIPTION

Avant Gardner is looking for interns with interest in the event, hospitality and music industries. Interns would help our team with handling busy vendors and clients and should be interested in learning all aspects of event and hospitality prep and production. It's essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate flexibility, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details while multi-tasking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Support production, operations, food and beverage, and corporate teams ·       Help with event coordination and production ·       Carry out daily administrative tasks ·       Screen phone calls ·       Compile contact lists ·       Create or update databases ·       Assist with social media and marketing

REQUIREMENTS

·       Graduating seniors preferred ·       Majoring in Business Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Music Business or similar ·       Strong communication and writing skills ·       Computer proficient with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

·       Flexible scheduling that includes nights and weekends ·       Commitment of at least 20 hours a week

·       Social Media internships require deep music knowledge and experience

·       Production internships require prior events experience with some familiarity with audio, lighting, and deco.
