    Overview

    We are looking for an ambitious, driven individual to develop and implement a strategic venue sales program for a variety of events at Avant Gardner. Events will cover a diverse spectrum from corporate, fashion, film/TV shoots, charity, and weddings with three facility options: The Great Hall, The Kings Hall and The Brooklyn Mirage. You will actively prospect and bring in new business while growing relationships with returning clients.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Market and sell all facilities managed by Avant Gardner, achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.

    • Develop booking strategy for large-scale bookings, including media events, film and TV shoots, installations/exhibits, corporate, fashion and weddings. There will also be some involvement with booking music events.

    • Ideate and implement new methods of sales for current spaces in order to garner new clients, increase repeat business and generate new revenue streams.

    • Day-to-day management of a proactive sales pipeline, sharing departmental forecasting with the management team on a regular basis.

    • Work collaboratively with the marketing department to promote Avant Gardner as a multi-use event venue.

    • Provide guided tours of venue facilities and services available for events.

    • Manage, administer and negotiate event contracts and proposals; provide input and feedback, as needed. Vet proposals through internal teams to ensure feasibility.

    • Manage and administer the event calendar and govern the scheduling process for all events.

    • Maintain client relationships post-sale to ensure that event execution needs are met, including Production, Front of House, box office, Security, and F&B.

    • Create and manage the budget for the venue sales department and partner with our chief financial officer on planning.

     

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in sales and large venue rentals. Concert hall booking, hotel/hospitality, & tourism strongly preferred.

    • Proven track record driving sales growth and experience meeting sales goals in excess of $5M+ annually.

    • Ability to work well under pressure and to adapt to changing priorities.

    • Creative thinker with demonstrated success in developing and implementing new marketing and sales strategies.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
