    T&M Protection Resources, LLC is seeking a Director of Security on behalf of a newly established multipurpose entertainment venue (“Avant Gardner”) located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

    Director of Security

    Avant Gardner is in the process of designing a multipurpose venue that will host a variety of public and private events in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Anticipated events include concerts, corporate events, weddings, fundraisers, free to community theatre, performance art, art shows, nightlife and more.

    Job Summary

    The Director of Security is responsible for the management, identification, development and implementation of all security strategies, systems, and programs for Avant Gardner. It is anticipated that the Security Director will have supervisory responsibility for proprietary employees including approximately five (5) Security Managers, as well as oversight of a contract guard force that will expand/contract according to the assessed risk associated with each particular event.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Create, direct and implement a security and safety program to mitigate risk in conjunction with the effective

       <p>operation of varied events hosted at the venue. The program will include at a minimum:</p>
      
       <p>- Physical Security<br />
       - Risk Assessment and Strategic Mitigation<br />
       -Incident Management<br />
       -Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Contingency Planning</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Management of an Expansive Security Force</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Employee Security Training</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Liaison with Law Enforcement and Other New York City Agencies&nbsp;</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>&nbsp;Investigations</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Coordinate and implement site security operations and activities to ensure protection of staff, guests, physical and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure protection of staff, &ldquo;talent,&rdquo; guests, information, reputation and the Avant Gardner site. Develop and present a security training program.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Conduct pre-event risk assessments as they relate to the security and safety of Avant Gardner&rsquo;s site, personnel, guests and other assets. Strategically deploy security personnel and equipment to mitigate identified threats and vulnerabilities.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard Avant Gardner&rsquo;s assets.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Conduct and/or support sensitive investigations involving Avant Gardner personnel, assets, guests, site and/or property.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Manage relationships with all security and investigations-related vendors and contractors.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with the NYPD, FDNY, local community board and applicable New York City and State licensing agencies.</p>
       </li>
       <li>
       <p>Forecast, prepare and manage security operations budgets.</p>
       </li>
      

    Qualification Guidelines:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    • Ten (10) plus years of comprehensive law enforcement experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of management experience.

    • Professional peer relationships at the Federal, State and/or Local levels.

    • Experience with risk assessment and strategic mitigation planning and implementation.

    • A demonstrated ability to motivate, lead, train, discipline and evaluate a diverse staff, including first line supervisors.

    • Excellent communication and liaison capabilities.

    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and provide strong follow-through.

    • Self-motivated and able to function in a unique, dynamic and growing organization.

    • Strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.

    • Must be able to demonstrate the capabilities necessary to understand the impact and sensitivity of all safety and security issues.

     

    Physical Demands:

    The Security Director position will have a wide ranging and dynamic set of responsibilities that will sometimes include late hours, loud music and large crowds. While performing regular duties, he/she may be required to stand for long periods and routinely climb up and down stairs. The Security Director may also be exposed on occasion to inclement weather of varying degrees.
