Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Our client is a purpose-driven organization that supports California’s first responders, the heroes of our state who work tirelessly against a variety of threats. The team is growing and is recruiting an experienced Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist will be a critical member of the team and a key contributor to support the organization. We are looking for at least 2-3 years of solid payroll experience, and exposure to a fast-paced multi-faceted organization where meeting deadlines and accountability are part of the culture and success.
This is a hybrid remote role in Sacramento, Ca. working three days a week in the office and two days a week from the home office.
Duties and Responsibilities include: Review time sheets in ADP Workforce Now payroll system Process semi-monthly payroll within ADP Workforce Now payroll system Prepare and process semi-monthly retirement benefits Prepare payroll and retirement benefits reports, analyses, and surveys Assist in payroll/benefits audit Update vacation/sick leave balances Scan and file confidential files and documents Supports all administrative duties in payroll and retirement functions Assist the Accounting Department in other administrative duties and special projects Support other administrative duties as necessary Requirements: High School Diploma, AA in Accounting preferred but not required Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Excel ADP Payroll Experience preferred Retirement Benefits Processing Experience preferred Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines Receipt and completion of COVID-19 Vaccination
