Our client is a purpose-driven organization that supports California’s first responders, the heroes of our state who work tirelessly against a variety of threats.  The team is growing and is recruiting an experienced Payroll Specialist.  The Payroll Specialist will be a critical member of the team and a key contributor to support the organization. We are looking for at least 2-3 years of solid payroll experience, and exposure to a fast-paced multi-faceted organization where meeting deadlines and accountability are part of the culture and success.

This is a hybrid remote role in Sacramento, Ca. working three days a week in the office and two days a week from the home office.   

Duties and Responsibilities include:  Review time sheets in ADP Workforce Now payroll system  Process semi-monthly payroll within ADP Workforce Now payroll system  Prepare and process semi-monthly retirement benefits  Prepare payroll and retirement benefits reports, analyses, and surveys  Assist in payroll/benefits audit  Update vacation/sick leave balances  Scan and file confidential files and documents  Supports all administrative duties in payroll and retirement functions  Assist the Accounting Department in other administrative duties and special projects  Support other administrative duties as necessary   Requirements:  High School Diploma, AA in Accounting preferred but not required  Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Excel  ADP Payroll Experience preferred  Retirement Benefits Processing Experience preferred  Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines  Receipt and completion of COVID-19 Vaccination
