    About the job:

    The Human Resources Leader will oversee talent acquisition and retention, diversity and inclusion efforts, employee relations, and proactive safety and compliance initiatives. They will drive project management within the department to those ends.

    The Human Resources Leader will also support the Company’s talent management initiatives in our fast-growing private company. They will serve as a trusted advisor with regards to organizational planning and design, performance management, leadership coaching, compensation, and initiatives in support of a scalable and progressive organization.

    This position reports directly to the President.

    Talent Acquisition:

    Partner with management to build strategic talent plans aligned with organizational strategy, data (attrition rates, hiring trends), and budgets

    Understand the Company’s market competitiveness based on total compensation and provide recommendations to improve engagement, referrals, and employee retention

    Optimize the recruiting, testing, and interviewing program

    Counsel managers on candidate selection

    Coordinate with marketing to highlight Company culture and successes to ensure an ideal candidate experience

    Talent Management:

    Conduct 1:1 effectiveness coaching with management to improve leadership capabilities

    Coach management to facilitate organizational change to model an inclusive environment

    Contribute to developing change management and communication plans

    Build and execute robust new hire orientation and onboarding programs

    Partner with management to build Individual Development Plans for employees

    Partner with management to build Performance Improvement Plans for employees

    Implement and manage cost-effective, retention-worthy benefits and perks programs

    Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees

    Conduct and analyze exit interviews and recommend areas for improvement

    Employee Relations:

    Oversee and analyze the effectiveness of the Company’s diverse perks programming

    Oversee and analyze the effectiveness of the Company’s discretionary bonus program

    Serve as the escalation point for all human resources issues to facilitate resolution of employee grievances

    Communicate with employees and leadership regarding day-to-day issues ( e.g. payment status, perks, events, benefits, safety, and compliance )

    Safety and Compliance:

    Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

    Maintain the organizational structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions

    Proactively conduct safety audits and provide safety training to applicable employees

    Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

    Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings

    Vendor Management:

    Effectively manage Company’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO) partner, ensuring all facets of partnership are utilized, including payroll, benefits, 401k, talent acquisition, safety, compliance, claims, and strategic consulting

    Maintain relationships and coordinate with local employment attorney

    Utilize and fully adopt Company’s systems, including CareerPlug applicant tracking system, Slack internal communications platform, and monday.com task management tool

    Team Leadership:

    Run day-to-day human resources department by proactively recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

    Build and execute appropriate onboarding plans for new employees

    Provide ongoing coaching and performance management for direct reports

    Attend monthly leadership meetings and provide relevant updates and feedback to department heads

    Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results

    Additional Responsibilities

    Maintain current knowledge of products and services

    Attend ongoing product and job training including seminars, workshops, conferences, etc.

    Participate in Company or departmental meetings and projects

    Notify management of relevant systems and tools to improve Company processes

    Provide support for additional tasks as requested by management

    Job Specifications & Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree

    Minimum 8 years in human resources generalist roles

    Minimum 5 years in supervisory roles

    Experience acting as liaison between internal and external groups, and presenting information to leadership

    Demonstrated successful tool/vendor migrations or implementations

    Experience with applicant tracking systems, like CareerPlug

    Experience with communication platforms, such as Slack

    Experience with project management tools, such as monday.com

    High sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure

    Professional appearance and demeanor

    Ability to exhibit accurate and detailed knowledge of Company’s products and services
