Must have domain knowledge and expertise in the Finance (investments/banking) industry and best practices. You will be re-architecting the system and moving the product and team forward, which would be the primary responsibility of this position. 100% Totally remote 

WHAT IS YOUR MISSION:

1. Lead the product/initiatives end-to-end - with long term vision in mind from architecture/design, to development (dev+qa), to deployment - with the rest of the team
2. CI/CD and understanding of dev-ops processes, infrastructure (AWS) setup - and can guide the rest of the team
3. You will work with product and UI/UX and guide the development of features by doing feasibility analysis and breaking into phases keeping in mind the long term plan
4. Hands-on coding 70/30 backend, 50% of the time. You will lead the team but also show-off your talents by doing ! Rest of the time focused on other aspects (architecture, product interfacing and other higher level items)
5. No reporting as yet. your focus will be on the technical aspects which can change over time as the company grows.

What you need to be successful in this role:

- Superb backend development frameworks and tools - Node/Python

- Experience working with frontend JS frameworks including Vue/React

- MySQL schema design, AWS, Redis

- Debugging and refactoring code using best practices

- Collaboration in a team environment while working independently

Extra Credit:

• Docker, Kupernetes

• Ideal case the candidate comes from the financial world having built financial (investment) systems end to end.
• Some exposure to building parts of financial applications as part of professional work experience.  If not professional, at least personal experience working with and learning financial (investment) applications OR a strong interest in learning and some basic understanding of the financial industry/rules/terms etc.
