    Sparrow is hiring experienced chefs to produce elevated cuisine for private aviation. Full-time and part-time PM opportunities are available, making this a strong fit for culinary professionals looking for either a consistent full-time position or part-time evening work.

    You'll work as part of a small culinary team producing food for private aviation in an execution-driven kitchen where quality, accuracy, food safety, and timing matter. Sparrow combines the pace and precision of aviation catering with culinary experimentation and an emphasis on elevating in-flight cuisine toward fine-dining standards.

    If you're an experienced Sous Chef or chef with a background in catering, banquets, events, or similar culinary production, we'd like to speak with you.

    Location

    This location is easily accessible by public transportation. A valid driver's license is required.

    About the Role

    This is a hands-on culinary position for someone who can cook, stay organized, follow detailed production requirements, and maintain standards when the kitchen gets busy.

    You'll work alongside the culinary team producing menus for private aviation clients while maintaining food quality and safety standards, following written recipes and production instructions, and keeping production accurate and on time.

    Experienced Sous Chefs may also take on leadership responsibilities, including helping direct, train, and motivate members of the culinary team.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and execute daily PM culinary production
    • Work hands-on alongside the culinary team
    • Maintain food quality and consistency throughout production
    • Follow recipes and production standards
    • Support menu creation and culinary development
    • Maintain food-safety, sanitation, and proper handling standards
    • Keep production organized during high-volume periods
    • Prepare and cook a wide range of ingredients
    • Handle and prepare pork and recipes involving alcohol
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
    • Support accurate, on-time completion of culinary production
    • Assist with team leadership and training when applicable

    Qualifications

    • Sous Chef or comparable professional culinary experience preferred
    • Proven chef experience in catering, banquet, event, or similar culinary settings
    • Strong knowledge of food safety and best practices
    • Ability to follow written recipes and instructions accurately
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced culinary production environment
    • Menu creation experience
    • Valid driver's license required
    • Must be comfortable handling, preparing, and cooking pork and recipes involving alcohol
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • English proficiency required
